configs/map-route.jsonc controls the line the map draws from the player to their destination: its width, its colour, and whether it is drawn in as an animation. The route follows the same path the game’s own navigation would. This file changes how it looks on the map, not where it goes.

Settings

Appearance

Both width values apply together: the line is drawn at the on-screen thickness until that would exceed maxWidth in the world, and is capped there. A route to a marker that carries its own route colour uses that colour instead. See Exports. The route is rebuilt as the player moves, about every 50 metres, so it stays accurate on the move without being recalculated for a player standing still.

Draw-in animation

When a route is rebuilt while the player is moving, only the part that changed is animated. The section already drawn stays where it is.

Example

A thinner, faster, orange route:

Limits

Setting animate to false makes drawSpeed and drawEase inactive; they are read but have nothing to apply to.
